Hong Kong Dawn Society a big cross
With the help of Pastor Lam and his wife in Hong
Kong, we rented a boat and went to a small island where the Hong Kong Dawn
Society was located. His wife bought the light refreshments, I paid the boat
fare, and we got to where we were going, where I saw the true testimony of God
and the Changing Brothers.
On that small island, they raised fighting dogs
to help them become self-reliant. They used one-on-one ministry, a brother
ministering to a drug addict, they advocated for healing without drugs and
needles, and they met many times a day for Jesus to change their lives. We sang
hymns together, Pastor Lin preached and exhorted them, and we were inspired to
participate in their self-sufficiency work.
We went up to a little hill and there was a
cross, and the brothers there pointed up with their fingers, and the power to
change people was the power of the cross, and Jesus brought them peace,
salvation, and joy.
When we got on the boat and left, these brothers got into the boat with us, and when the boat had been gone for a while, they all jumped into the water, swam and waved and said to us, "Goodbye!" I think of the Bible that says, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, and the old things have passed away, and they have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17).
